Recognizing Excellence in Public Safety Communications: Nominate Your Commercial Partners

VA APCO is pleased to announce the opening of the Commercial Partner Awards for 2024 that will be given at the APCO/NENA/Interoperability conference in Roanoke. These awards are specifically for our Commercial Partners, so they are recognized by the Public Safety Telecommunicator and Commercial communities for their hard work and dedication to our profession. The eligibility dates for these awards are July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025.

The two awards are:

• Joe Gately Service Award

  • Nominees must have been employed as a commercial partner for a Public Safety Communications agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia or have retired within the last 12 months.

• Commercial Partner of the Year Award

  • Company has active representatives within the Commercial Advisory Committee (CAC)

  • The Commercial Partner must have been engaged with a public safety agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia within the last 12 months.

The nominations are due by 2359 hours on September 1, 2025. Completed nominations can be emailed to Jlee@vbgov.com or mailed to VB ECCS 2508 Princess Anne Road, Building 30, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

The nomination forms can be found on the VA APCO webpage under Awards & Recognition. The committee asks that the nominations be submitted on the appropriate form.
