Dear Virginia APCO
Members and 911 Professionals:
On behalf of our Board, I wish to express our heart-felt appreciation for the
level of commitment to our profession as evidenced by our daily sacrifices made
while providing expedient, competent, and compassionate support services to the
residents of the Commonwealth. Not one of us chose this profession as a
way to monetary riches or a place in the limelight, but rather because of our
desire to help others. Through our committed service, we achieve a level of
personal satisfaction and pride in a job well done that transcends the need for
acknowledgement, that all too often is not
forthcoming. The Board joins you in your pride of the choice to be part of such
an altruistic profession, and thanks you for your dedication and performance.
The Virginia Chapter of APCO continues to be one of the largest chapters in the
nation and embraces the concept of teamwork that was truly evidenced in the
support offered and accepted during the Virginia Tech tragedy one year ago. The
event garnered nationwide attention, but this spirit of cooperation is not
limited to remarkable events such as this, but to the everyday unremarkable
events as well.
Linda
Goodridge, President
Virginia Chapter of APCO
